Dan Hargrave was blinded in the Bosnia War and had been homeless for 10 years before becoming a community volunteer with Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay. This amazing veteran is pursuing a doctorate and teaches at the University of South Florida. He’s humble and low-key, but his words and actions are quite powerful. He volunteers 25 hours per week to support his fellow veterans in apartment complexes, particularly focusing on providing food and resources. The Humana Foundation is proud to champion Dan while investing in Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay.
