How our grant funding works

The Humana Foundation focuses on four primary commitments, all of which have different grant periods and change according to available funds.

We encourage you to read about each to determine if your grant proposal idea fits one of our commitment areas.

Our grant management system streamlines the application process, allowing applicants to upload documents and track follow-up communications.

Proposals will be accepted through our new grant management system, which requires grantees to first establish a profile and complete an eligibility check. Please refer to the user guide with SmartSimple for tips on navigating the grant management system. 

To start a grant application or submit a proposal

Each organization must set up an account and register before submitting a grant or proposal.

Follow these steps to get started.

1. Review the FAQ page to ensure your grant application or proposal aligns with one of our four commitments.
2. Go to Apply for Grants.
3. Follow the prompts to register your organization.
4. Activate the account by opening the link sent to the preferred email in your registration and setup a password.
5. After activating the account, you''ll be redirected to the home page to set up your organization's profile.
