Humana recognizes the importance of giving back and the effect it has on the health of our communities.
That’s why Humana employees have contributed thousands of hours volunteering in their communities since 2007.
Employees who volunteer and log at least four hours per month on the Humana Volunteer Network intranet page will be entered in the quarterly Dollars 4 Doers drawing.
The winners of the drawing are able to designate a $4,000 grant from the Humana Foundation to the nonprofit where they volunteer.
Two winners are chosen each quarter and will be notified by the Humana Foundation.
Employees who volunteer and log at least 150 hours on the Humana Volunteer Network intranet site between January 1st and November 1st are eligible for this award.
The recipient of the Volunteer of the Year award receives the opportunity to designate a $10,000 grant from the Humana Foundation to the nonprofit where they volunteer.
One winner will be selected annually and announced toward the end of the year.
The Spirit of Philanthropy Award is given to a department or group of employees who display exceptional commitment to the community through volunteerism.
Some examples of this philanthropic commitment include volunteer hours at a nonprofit organization, skills-based nonprofit support, and community problem-solving assistance.
Award winners are able to designate a $25,000 grant from the Humana Foundation to the nonprofit of their choice.
All candidates must log their volunteer hours on the Humana Volunteer Network, and receive a nomination, to be considered.
If you have nominated a group, you may not hear a response until a winner is announced. Nominees not chosen may be kept and reconsidered for future recognition.
To nominate a group or department for this award, send a nomination email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line of “Spirit of Philanthropy Award nomination.”
