Volunteer

Humana and The Humana Foundation recognize the importance of giving back and the effect it has on the health of our communities, including our own employee community. That’s why Humana employees have contributed more than one million hours volunteering in their communities since 2007.
Dollars 4 Doers
Employees who volunteer and log at least four hours per month on the Humana Together, an internal resource for Humana employees, will be entered in the quarterly Dollars 4 Doers drawing.

Two drawing winners are chosen each quarter. Each winner selects one nonprofit organization they volunteer with to receive a $4,000 Humana Foundation grant.

Spirit of Philanthropy Award
The Spirit of Philanthropy Award is given to a department or group of Humana employees who display exceptional commitment to the community through volunteerism. Some examples of this philanthropic commitment include volunteering at a nonprofit organization, skills-based nonprofit support and community problem-solving assistance.

Spirit of Philanthropy winners chose a nonprofit organization to receive a $25,000 Humana
Foundation grant. All candidates must log their volunteer hours on Humana Together and receive a nomination to be considered.

If you have nominated a group, you may not receive a response until a winner is announced. Nominees not chosen may be kept and reconsidered for future recognition.

Spirit of Philanthropy nomination process

To nominate a group or department for this award, send a nomination email to
humanaFoundation@humana.com with the subject line of “Spirit of Philanthropy Award nomination.”
