Community Partners Program Application Opening Soon

After a historic and record year of giving, and amidst the process of growing our internal infrastructure, we have reviewed our grant guidelines to make sure they align with our mission and values in order to best serve our communities of focus. The grant application for the Community Partners Program will open shortly. A timeline outlining the application process is detailed below.

Timeline:

  • April 12 - Informational Session. Click here to view the presentation from this session.

  • April 26 (at the latest) - Application will go live in Benevity

  • April 27 - Informational Session

  • May 7 – Foundation staff will begin evaluating applications received up to this point

  • July 23 – Application period will close and Foundation staff will evaluate all applications that did not receive funding in initial round.

Please note: Please click here to view a PDF of the application so you can start preparing your responses now and be ready to submit once the application is live in Benevity.  The PDF is only for review and preparation purposes.  All organizations wishing to apply must be registered on the Benevity Causes portal and use the portal to apply (https://causes.benevity.org/).  Organizations may apply only once, and those that do not receive funding in the initial round will be rolled to the second round for consideration.

Who are we centering in this round of applications?  The criterion for eligibility has some significant changes that we want to make you aware of.  Because we focus on creating equity and positive health outcomes for all, we believe organizations should demonstrate that they are working to create equity not only externally, but also within their organizations.  In order to qualify for funding, organizations must have had an annual budget of less than $2.5 million in 2019 or 2020 and at least 51% of your executive leadership team and board of directors must be made up of individuals who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color.

To answer any questions you may have about the Community Partners Program or application process, we will hold a virtual information session on April 12 at 10 am and on April 27 at 3pm. Please click here if you would like to receive information on how to join this session.
