A Message to Parents

Humana Foundation Chairman Mike McCallister encourages Humana associates to apply for university funding for their eligible children.

A message from our CEO, Mike McCallister

The Humana Foundation supports and nurtures charitable activities that guide others toward decisions promoting healthy lives and healthy communities. The Humana Foundation Scholarship Program is an example of that commitment to students and families and the importance of education in achieving a balanced state of well-being. Since 1991 Humana has invested more than $9 million to assist children of associates in their pursuit of higher education.

The scholarship program is a competitive program designed to recognize and honor academic excellence and to assist Humana families in meeting the costs of sending children to colleges of their choice.

Each year, The Humana Foundation awards up to 75 new college scholarships. Annual awards up to $3,000 are renewable for three years or until the undergraduate degree is obtained. Applicants can be high school seniors, high school graduates, or college students, who are planning to pursue an academic degree full-time in the fall of the year following the award of the scholarship. Winners are selected solely on a competitive basis of merit, not financial need.

Through this program, we acknowledge the contributions of our associates and confirm our faith in the future accomplishments of our children. Please share this information with your family and submit an application if your child is eligible.

Sincerely,
Michael B. McCallister
