You're Invited to Apply

Humana and the Humana Foundation made 420 grants in 2006 to nonprofit organizations in its headquarters city of Louisville and other communities where the company has a meaningful presence. Your application is welcome.

Procedure for Applying

If you meet our guidelines, we invite you to apply to The Humana Foundation online using the link below. If you are unable to apply online, please see the Apply by Mail section below. To determine whether you are eligible, read our guidelines for giving.

The Foundation organizes its giving by region. Applicants are advised to submit no more than one application every 12 months.

In Louisville, KY. area

• Applications from nonprofit organizations in the Louisville, KY. area are handled by the Foundation office in Louisville
  
• Applications are accepted November 1 through January 15 of the following year.
  
  

Outside Louisville, KY. area

• Applications from organizations outside the Louisville area and located in one of the geographic areas listed below are routed by The Humana Foundation to the Humana market office in the appropriate city.
  
• Humana market applications are accepted November 1 through June 15 of the following year.

Nonprofit organizations not located in the Louisville area may apply if they are located in one of the following geographic areas:

*Specialized Giving Programs: Nine Humana market offices have specialized giving programs. Rather than applying through this Website, grantseekers in these areas should visit the respective Website for application information: Atlanta, Chicago, Greater Cincinnati, Louisiana, Houston, Kansas City, Phoenix, Tampa, and Utah.

We prefer that all applicants except those in the seven markets that offer Specialized Giving Programs submit their grant application forms electronically.
